Lauren is a Final year Commercial Photography student at the Arts University in Bournemouth. She has a passion for documentary photography and has done projects focusing on modern day topics such as The gay church and vape culture today. she has previously worked alongside refugees from Iran and other middle eastern countries with her collaboration with icn and the farsi community at Lansdowne church. her plans for the future are to travel the world documenting stories she finds along the way. she is a Christian so Is very much interested in documenting Christian persecution around the world. she also wants to explore what Christian missionaries do and why they do the work that they do. her passion for documentary photography originated in GCSE English when she looked at the poem ‘War Photographer’ by Carol Ann Duffy and then further developed when she discovered photographers such as Robert Capa and Lewis W Hine.
